A Project to Preserve Dharma, Sustain the Sangha, and Accumulate Timeless Merit

From the sacred heart of Dorjitse Monastery, we extend this heartfelt message — not as a request, but as a call to join a sacred cause.
Dorjitse Monastery, one of the oldest spiritual sanctuaries in our land, has stood for generations as a beacon of Dharma, echoing the wisdom of the Buddhas and the devotion of sincere practitioners. But despite its deep spiritual legacy, the monastery has silently endured hardship.
In the past, due to a lack of resources and support, many of the lay monks were forced to abandon the monastery, unable to survive in an isolated location without basic necessities. That was a painful experience in our history.
Today, though the monastery still stands strong with monks dedicated to Dharma practice, its financial foundation remains challenging. If we do not act now, we risk repeating the same history — one of loss, silence, and spiritual erosion.
Rinpoche, with great compassion and foresight, has said:
“Dharma is not something we can take for granted. If we want the teachings to flourish, if we want the sacred flame to stay lit, we must care for its holders and the places that protect it. I believe this project — Sang Ngak Dhongpo — is the answer. We must build a future where such a loss will never happen again.”
The Sang Ngak Dhongpo Project is our united response — an initiative to raise a seed fund to ensure the monastery’s long-term sustainability. Not just for infrastructure and logistics, but to preserve a living tradition that benefits all sentient beings.
